All Alone In the..Mall? {Open} « Thread Started on Feb 4, 2008, 8:58pm »
Her eyes locked on the ever-welcoming sign that ready a simple word. Nine letters. Beautiful. Hollister. On of her favorite stores. Nikes smacking against the floor quietly, Kameron made her way through the bustling crowd of shoppers and reached the cut-out door to the store. Within she could see the employees, all running around trying to make customers happy. The sharp scent of perfume filled her nose she she stepped forward, feeling at peace with herself now that she had completed her mission.
Sure, Kameron was alone today. And Yesterday, and possibly tomorrow. It didn't bother her. She liked the quiet. Plus, she was new at the school. Arriving late October. She hadn't exactly made the effort to make friends yet, as her family was still trying to settle down in their new house in a new neighborhood. Avalon was a beautiful place indeed. Then, there was the mall. Which was even more beautiful in her eyes.
Checking her wallet, she made sure that the $700 her mom had given her this morning was still there. $200. Fifteen minutes in the store. No problem. Threading her way through the groups of people, she made her way to the back of the store, which usually had better clothes for her taste. Instantly, she spotted an adorable pair of flare jeans that were on sale for $20. Easily bought. Shopping always made Kameron happy.
Three minutes later, Kami was in the changing room with a pile of clothes. So far, everything but two shirts fit. Figuring she had about $40 left, the regular customer paid with cash and took her bags to her car. Her mom specifically said that she was allowed to spend no more than $200 at Hollister this month. Which sucked. With a sigh, Kameron reentered the mall in search for something else to buy.

Kara stumbled to the register carrying loads of shirts to the return bin. Why can't peopl just buy the damn shit they try on?!?! she thought to herself. She stepped quickly past the sales racks. Her deep brown eyes barely visible through the thick cloud of cloths that hung before her. Move out of the way! she hissed to no one in particular, her voice almost outta breath.

"Watch where your stepping!" Kameron snarled back, firmly planting her feet so she didn't move. Damn, she thought, following the girl with her deep almond eyes. "No one says shit like that to me" she growled under her breath, making her way to the register. Today was the day it was all supposed to happen. Today, Kameron McMhan was getting a job.

Kara huffed over to the counter, dropping the clothes in a basket, she turned around, revealing her beautiful face, Well if people put the stupid clothes in the dumbass bin I wouldn't be waddling around this place, blinded side by Seagull insingias! she grumbled back. Her brown eyes looked the girl, over, she was obviously younger than Kara. She forced her best fake smile, May I help you?

"Well sweet cheeks what do you think your getting paid for exactly? To sit around all day and push buttons?" Playing her best at the nice game, Kameron leaned over the counter and examined Kara. Older, probably a lot more bitchy as well. Ha. "Don't play with me," she said softly, imitating Kara's fake grin, then frowning. "I need a job. I love Hollister. Very fashionable. What do i need to get the job?"

Kara leaned forward too, looking Kameron right in the eyes. Well... she paused definately, First off sweet cheeks, don't insult the manager she flicker her manager tag that was firmly clasped to her shirt. Then she stood up straight a grin on her face.

"First impressions?" she asked calmly. Standing straight, Kameron flicked a piece of hair out of her eyes. "Sorry," she rolled her eyes looking away for a moment at a peculiar looking shopper. Laying her purse on the counter, she refocused her sight on Kara. "Well, then, Manager," she replied bitterly. "With another employee, you wouldn't need to carry around clothes all day now would you?"

Kara smiled, With you around I won't have to do much of anything but manage. her voice softened. She looked around the store, and then she looked over Kameron she was obviously a rich snobby person, maybe working here would do her some good. Kara nodded, brown curls bouncing with her. Then what are you waiting for? Get to work. she cooed. Seh didn't mean to snap at the girl, but today wasn't exzactly a good day. She was still worried about Caleb...

Kameron stepped back, jerking her head away from her new manager. Her eyes widened, ready to throw back a swift comment, but bit her tongue instead. Straightening, she fixed her shirt for a moment before replying. "Well then." With a huff, she pulled her hair up, out of her almond eyes. Wont daddy be proud? Rolling her eyes at the thought, she cocked her head to one side, glancing around the well-known store once more. Seeing it in a new light, almost. "First task?" she inquired, first staring at the heap of clothes, then the counter, then resting her gaze back on Kara.
